Johana Martinez
Peer Mentor
I had the pleasure to be a mentor for Ben through the Financial Management Association. Throughout the mentorship, Ben expressed his curiosity and his determination constantly. Ben went out of his way to schedule meetings so I can give him career and academic advice. Not only would he ask for advice, but he wanted to discover about the decisions I made in my career path and how exactly I got there.
Ben has made incredible progress throughout both his student organizations, the American Marketing Association and the Financial Management Association. I had the opportunity to watch him take initiatives in projects on both executive boards. For example, Ben has created a variety of social media posts on the Marketing Committee in the Financial Management Association which drove up our social media engagement. In the American Marketing Association, he makes clear visuals for the executive board to understand our current budgeting and even forecast the changes accurately. Despite joining the organizations recently, he made his presence known with his ideas and has been a great addition to both teams.
He has displayed an incredible work ethic, compassion, and genuine curiosity. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend Ben for any role because he will always exceed your expectations.
